Viticulture

Viticulture

Vine age: Tempranillo and Albillo around 100 years. Northwest orientation. Harvest date: September 11. Hand-picked. The 2023 vintage was defined by extreme weather: a cold winter with irregular frosts, followed by a dry and warm spring and summer that accelerated the vine’s growth cycle. Despite these challenges, the plants achieved excellent balance, resulting in a long and diverse harvest that produced grapes of great character.

Winemaking

Winemaking

20% whole cluster inclusion. Fermentation at low temperature with gentle maceration.

Tasting Notes

Tasting Notes

“This remarkable expression of the hot, dry vintage exudes poise and freshness with its nose of pencilshavings, wild flowers and bramble fruit. The fine, velverty calate is built arounda core of cherry sorbet, blackberry yoghurt and black olive tapenade e tapenade, with oregano and thyme in the background and a lively, spicy liningof block pepper,
nutmeg and cardamom. Robust but gracefultannic structure.” Inés Salpico, Decanter Magazine.
