A wine from a historic vineyard in La Aguilera, Valle del Gromejón, Burgos — planted in 1920 on clay-limestone soil at 865 meters above sea level, with a north-facing orientation.
Our most awarded wine is born in one of our most cherished and beautiful plots, a vineyard surrounded by scrubland and life. Here, nature can be felt in every corner, peace envelops the landscape, and the connection with the earth awakens emotions that are hard to describe but clearly conveyed in every glass of this Grand Cru, expressing the greatness of the place it comes from.

Viticulture
Century-old vineyard. Northwest orientation. Harvest date: September 15. Hand-picked.
The 2023 vintage was marked by extreme weather conditions: a cold winter with irregular frosts, followed by a dry and warm spring and summer that accelerated the vine’s cycle. Despite these challenges, the plants achieved excellent balance, resulting in a long and diverse harvest with grapes of great character.
Winemaking
Fermented in 1,000 kg open vats with manual punch-downs.
Tasting Notes
“Complex yet engagingly pristine, with aromas of red fruit, flowers, mineral-etched citrus, fine spices and herbs. This is very juicy, textured and almost taut, with a medium to full body and fine tannins. Long and intense flavors, but there is little heft from fruit and extraction. The result is a precise, transparent and readily drinkable wine that highlights freshness and texture.” Zekun Shuai, James Suckling.
